SUMMARY:A Case for Chaos Engineering & Maintain Full Observability in the A
 ge of Chaos
DESCRIPTION:We will have food and drinks tonight:\n\nFood: Austin Pizza fro
 m VMWare. Thanks Scott!\nBeer: Victory CTO.\n\nTitle\n=====\n\nGot Contain
 ers\, Got Microservices\, Got Serverless... Got Eyes?\nMaintaining Full Ob
 servability in the Age of Chaos\nby Howard Yoo\n\nAbstract\n========\nToda
 y's modern applications are ever in evolution. While new technologies prom
 ise new possibilities\, it also comes with the price. How do you solve the
  riddle of maintaining the full observability of everything that moves? Wh
 at could be some of the better ways to deal with this?\n\nAfter this talk\
 , you should be able to:\n* Understand the complexity of today's modern ap
 plications\n* Identify some of the risks in trying to observe everything\n
 * Know the importance of metrics monitoring\n* Experience a demo of metric
 s monitoring as a service\n\nBio\n===\n\nHaving rich experience in both en
 gineering and technical sales profession\, Howard Yoo has a very successfu

 gineering\nby Matthew Brahms\n\nAbstract\n========\nChaos Engineering is a
  term that has recently begun to be tossed around in Engineering circles w

 os engineering" is as a discipline\, followed by a discussion of methodolo
 gy used\, and wrapped up with some demonstrations of live chaos!\n\nAfter
 this talk\, you should be able to:\n* Understand what Chaos/Resiliency Eng
 ineering is\n* Describe the mindset and methodologies used\n* Know the ste
 ps to take to start using Chaos Engineering "in the wild"\n* See a few too
 ls demonstrated that are able to implement live experiments\n\nBio\n===\nA
 s a Site Reliability Engineer\, Matthew works to build scalable/resilient
 systems and instill SRE culture into the teams he embeds with (SLI\,SLO\,S
 LA anyone?!). Previous roles have included DevOps Engineer\, Systems Admin
 istrator\, and being a professional Classical musician.\n\nOriginally from
  Columbus\, OH\, Matthew holds degrees from The Ohio State University and
 Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Currently he lives in Austin\, T
