nds-on workshop in collaboration with IBM where we give you the opportunit
y to learn how to create a crisis communication chatbot using IBM Watson A
ssistant.\n\n--\n\nTALK\n\nRecently\, new tools designed to simplify the i
nteraction between humans and computers have hit the market: chatbots or v
irtual assistant. Why are chatbots important? A chatbot is often described
as one of the most advanced and promising expressions of interaction betw
een humans and machines. However\, from a technological point of view\, a
chatbot only represents the natural evolution of a question answering syst
em leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP). Formulating responses to
questions in natural language is one of the most typical Examples of Natur
al Language Processing applied in various enterprises’ end-use applicati
ons.\n\nIn times of crisis\, chatbots can help people quickly find answers
they need to critical questions. In the case of a pandemic like COVID-19\
, people might be trying to find basic information about testing\, symptom
s\, community response\, and other resources. In this workshop you will le
arn how to create a crisis communication chatbot using IBM Watson Assistan
t and how to add webhooks to Watson Assistant to query for dynamic data us
ing Watson Discovery and COVID-19 APIs.\n\nLearning objectives:-\n* Provis
ion an instance of Watson Assistant-Add a dialog skill to your Watson Assi
stant instance\n* Connect your Watson Assistant with Watson Discovery\n* C
reate Cloud Functions (Serverless service)\n* Integrate data sources via a
Watson Assistant webhook\n\nBefore you join the session\, make sure to cr
eate an IBM Cloud account here: https://ibm.biz/BdfMqA\n\nSPEAKERS\n\nTal
Neeman — a developer advocate at IBM Alpha Zone Accelerator and a chroni
c early-adopter of new technologies. His professional engineering backgrou
 nd is in cloud computing\, AI\, mobile development\, Kubernetes\, Docker\,
serverless and programming education. He uses his knowledge of various te
chnologies and methodologies to help others as they enter the Cloud Native
world. He hopes to make learning Cloud Native fun and accessible to every
one! When he’s not building demos or at a conference\, he spends his tim

and platform\, Cloud Pak for Data. Wiktor has 15 years+ experience with a
variety of data science and machine learning challenges across a range of
industries.\n\n--\n\nWhat is Call for Code?\n\nDuring this hands-on sessio
n we will also introduce you to tech-for-good challenge of its kind: Call
for Code. This challenge is calling all developers to build solutions that
fight back against the most pressing issues of our time. Topic of this ye
