SUMMARY:Compliance as Code: shifting the Controls to the left
DESCRIPTION:Support Slack Channel:\nhttps://join.slack.com/t/playgroundsu..
 .\nYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcftWvNIFd4\nSpeaker: Cameron
Harper – https://www.linkedin.com/in/cmhrpr/\n\nNot the sexiest of subje
cts but\, without compliance\, there’s a whole bunch of people out of a
job\, and we can’t have that. Compliance sits at the heart of all busine
sses\, which is why this month’s Playground\, you’re invited to learn
how to test infrastructure for compliance. Compliance can cover regulatory
concerns or even basic best practice such as using encryption.\n\nWe’ll
be using some AWS infrastructure\, which has been implemented using the T
erraform Infrastructure as Code tool. We’ll implement some compliance ru
les using the OpenPolicyAgent language\, and analyse the plans generated b
y Terraform using a tool called Regula.\n\nThis will be a hands-on use cas
e\, but the patterns covered can be applied through automation to create a
left shift of your compliance checks\, moving from what is deployed in th
e cloud to before it gets there.\n\nHope to see you there!\n\nhttps://www.
