  AI is the new electricity.\n\nElectricity is transmitted by electric char
 ge. I argue that deep learning is the new electric charge for this new ele
 ctricity. That is a poor analogy.\n\nBut the point is\, deep learning is b
 eing applied in a diverse set of fields.\nIn particular\, it is used for c
 ancer cell detection\, generating art using Neural Style Transfer and for 
 object detection in autonomous vehicles.\n\nIn this meetup\, we discuss th
 e focus on the object detection and classification part. In particular\, w
 e discuss an approach to a digit detection and recognition system. This sy
 stem takes in a single image and returns any sequence of digits visible in
  that image.\nThe sequences of numbers may have varying scales\, orientati
 ons\, and fonts\, and maybe arbitrarily positioned in a noisy image. The S
