SUMMARY:Demystifying Distributed Tracing
DESCRIPTION:--- This is a FREE ONLINE WEBINAR ---\n\nLink to attend event w
ill be updated before event day :)\n\nDescription:\n\nMicroservices are be
coming mainstream now and the majority of new applications are developed u
sing microservices architecture. But they throw some unique challenges aro
und DevOps and Observability due to following:\n\n● Rise of API ecosyste
m\n● Application complexity is rising\n● Applications are becoming mor
e distributed\n● Tech Stack is becoming broader and bigger everyday\n●
Hybrid and multi-cloud is becoming reality\n● Monoliths to Microservice
s\n\nDistributed Tracing\, which is getting a lot of mindshare in the last
few years is now becoming the new foundation of DevOps. Unlike traditiona
l Application Performance Monitoring (APM)\, Distributed Tracing is intend
ed to address the observability challenges and use-cases in the new micros
ervices world.\n\neBPF advancement in Linux kernel brings whole new opport
unities around kernel and application tracing. eBPF used in conjunction wi
th distributed tracing unlock many interesting opportunities.\n\nEventuall
y\, Distributed Tracing will be a new APM\, addressing MELT use-cases comp
rehensively (Metrics\, Events\, Logs and Traces). It is particularly well-
suited to debugging and monitoring modern distributed software architectur
es\, such as microservices. It helps pinpoint or isolate where failures oc
cur and what causes sub-optimal performance.\n\nIt basically traces a netw
ork request as it travels through your services\, as it would be in a micr
oservices-based architecture. One of the main reasons you may want to do t
his is to troubleshoot or monitor the latency of a request as it travels t
hrough the different services.\n\nIn this talk\, we will discuss Distribut
ed Tracing and it’s various use cases in today’s cloud native world al
ong with Demo of Distributed Tracing using some sample applications!\n\nSp
eaker Bio:\n\n1) José Carlos Chávez:\n\nJosé Carlos Chávez is a Softwa
re Engineer at Traceable\, a Hypertrace contributor\, a Zipkin team member
and a Mathematics student at the University of Barcelona. He enjoys worki
ng with APIs and distributed systems\, and is the author of official libra
ries for Zipkin and OpenTracing.\n\nWhile not working with code\, you can
find him sipping on craft beers or spending time with his son.\n\nTwitter:

nding Engineer at Traceable.ai where he primarily works on OSS project Hyp
ertrace. Jayesh is the first AWS ML Hero in India. He is the Organizer of
AWS UG\, Elastic UG\, TensorFlow UG and Microsoft AI community and many ot
her communities in India. His research interest involves Distributed Neura
l computers and he has authored books on Neural Networks\, Reinforcement L
earning\, and Simulation Hypothesis. His articles are published in renowne
d publications and endorsed by the community. He has also been awarded a t
