SUMMARY:DevOps 101 - Deploying Scalable Services with Infrastructure-As-Cod
 e (IaC)

this joint session is workshop-style 101 presented by one of our BDO commu

 com/Inclusive-Tech-Lab/events/263582041/\n\n]\n\nDetails\n\nGet started wi
th DevOps with this two hour practical workshop! The first collaboration b
etween Boston DevOps and Inclusive Tech Lab.\n\nCloud computing enables un
precedented levels of scale - provided that an organization first architec
ts its applications to take advantage of the benefits the cloud offers. Do
ing so is often not straightforward - many “cloud-native” applications
are managed similarly to datacenter-bound applications\, belying the bene
fits that the cloud offers.\n\nIn this hands-on workshop\, participants wi
ll be exposed to some of the most basic but crucial concepts fo building a
nd deploying cloud-scale systems. Concepts visited will include containers
\, managed services\, repeatability\, and horizontal scalability. The work
shop is relevant to many different stacks\, but will leverage specific too
ls such as Docker\, Packer\, Terraform\, and Amazon Web Services to offer
teachable examples of each concept. The end goal will be a familiar trope
 - delivering a blog - but with a focus on using cloud-first tools to do so
.\n\nA huge\, huge thanks to Klaviyo for hosting and providing refreshment
s!\n\nINSTRUCTOR:\nDon Luchini is a Boston-based DevOps engineer specializ

the DevOps Team Lead at CloudHealth Technologies. In his spare time\, he
 is a martial artist\, radio enthusiast\, and hobby photographer.\n\nTECH R
