DESCRIPTION:This month we'll feature a talk by Brandon Wagner on using Karp
 enter\, an open source project that takes a groupless approach to scaling.
 \n\n**Brandon Wagner - Kubernetes Groupless Node Autoscaling w/ Karpenter*
 *\nContainers and clustering systems like Kubernetes (K8s) have allowed in
 frastructure engineers to abstract away the underlying hardware or "cloudw
 are" like VMs\, storage\, and networking. However\, there is still a divid
 e in the infrastructure components needed to create and operate a cluster 
 and how an application developer interacts with the cluster control plane.
  For K8s nodes\, this often involves pre-provisioning autoscaling groups o
 r VM scale sets and then using the K8s Cluster-Autoscaler to interact with
  these groups. Brandon will present a new K8s-native node autoscaling open
  source project called Karpenter that takes a groupless approach to scalin
 g and aims to empower application developers and infrastructure engineers 
 alike.\n\nBrandon Wagner is a Software Engineer at AWS working on EC2\, EK
 S\, and OSS. For the past 2 years he has been focused on Kubernetes and is
  a core maintainer of the Karpenter project and the AWS Node Termination H
 andler. Before that\, Brandon worked on DNS resolvers\, cyber security\, a
