ps: It’s people all the way down\n\nAs technologists\, it’s easy to fo
cus entirely on the technical capabilities we’re building or deploying i
nside our organisations. However\, tech isn’t deployed in a vacuum\, it
’s always part of a sociotechnical system\, where tech and groups of mes
sy humans are constantly interacting. In the 2021 State of DevOps Report w
e found that for most companies\, organisational dynamics and social/cultu
ral factors are the primary constraints around success at DevOps/DevSecOps
silo-busting initiatives. Automation is critical\, agile and lean are imp
ortant\, yet team identities and interactions matter the most at any non-t
rivial scale.\n\nBio:\n\nNigel Kersten is responsible for bringing product
knowledge and a senior technical operations perspective to Puppet field t
eams and customers\, working on services strategy and representing the cus
tomer back into the product organization. He works with many of Puppet’s
largest customers on the cultural and organizational changes necessary fo
r large scale DevOps implementations. He has been deeply involved in Puppe
t's DevOps initiatives\, and has served in a range of executive roles at P
uppet over the last ten years.\n\n6:50pm - Panel Session\n\nWe will be tal
king about some of the topics covered in Nigel's talk.\n\nPanellists:\n- J
