DESCRIPTION:For our July meetup we will be hosted by Funding Circle. This w
ill be our final event before a summer break. Full agenda to follow.\n\n6:
 00pm - Arrival\n\n7:00pm - Introductions\n\n7:15pm - [Mark Hollands ](http
 s://www.linkedin.com/feed/)\\- Funding Circle's DevOps Journey\n\n*Mark wi
ll take you on a whistle-stop tour of Funding Circle’s DevOps journey. I
n the past couple of years FC has been working hard on providing the best
tooling and platform to enable developers to deliver value to our customer
s quickly\, while maintaining services FC customers can rely on. From migr
ating CI tooling to Drone CI and shifting containers from Mesos to Kuberne
tes\, Mark will talk through how we have sped up delivery with new tooling
and the lessons learnt along the way.*\n\n*But DevOps is more than just a
collection of tools. Mark will also discuss the evolving culture at FC an
d some changes FC are making to help development teams make best use\, and
speed up adoption\, of new tooling and platforms.*\n\n*Bio: Mark work’s
as part of the Core Platform Team @ Funding Circle\, helping to maintain
the infrastructure our developers use to build\, test and run our applicat
ions. Mark specialises in managing Kubernetes and has over a decade of exp
erience in Software and Platform Engineering.*\n\n7:50pm - [Andrew Hardie
 ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrew-hardie-31b982/)\\- Observability \\-
when three pillars are not enough\n\nThe proliferation of containers\, Kub
ernetes and complex deployments of them has led to growing\, urgent intere
st in true Observability to address the shortcomings of traditional monito
ring tools in such environments. In this presentation\, Andrew will explor
e the new\, emerging field of observability where the traditional three pi
llars of logs\, metrics and traces are no longer not enough to answer thos
e fourth quadrant questions involving unknown unknowns. Like everything to
do with DevOps and Platform Engineering\, things are changing very fast i
 n this space.\n\n8:30pm - Socials\n\nWe'll head over to the pub!\n\nIf you
'd like to participate in a future meetup\, please fill in this form and w
e'll get back to you! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1FYGHEWTeBb5vVztGGg2
