SUMMARY:The Continuous Delivery of Data
DESCRIPTION:** PLEASE REGISTER HERE **\nhttps://register.gotowebinar.com/re
gister/415130924936291344?source=Trifork\n\n--\n\nJoin us for the online m
eetup "The Continuous Delivery of Data" with Dave Farley. This GOTO Night
in collaboration with Systematic describes some of the useful and practica
l techniques that you can apply to implement continuous delivery for data
as well as for code.\n\nVenue/Host: GoTo Webinar\nCosts: Free of charge\nS
peaker: Dave Farley\n\nABOUT THE TALK\n\nContinuous delivery is easy in so
me circumstances. If you are writing a stateless\, maybe even serverless\,
microservice it is pretty simple really. Most systems need state though.
What do we do about state? How do we work to keep our systems "releasable
all the time" when we have data\, sometimes LOTS of data?\n\nAGENDA\n\n2:0
0pm — A welcome to this GOTO Night in collaboration with Systematic\n2:1
0pm — Dave Farley will present his subject of the day\n3:00pm — Live Q
&A with Dave Farley\n3:25pm — Thank you for joining us for this GOTO Nig
ht\n\nABOUT THE SPEAKER\n\nDave Farley is a thought leader in the field of
continuous delivery\, DevOps and software development in general. He is c
o-author of the Jolt-award winning book 'Continuous Delivery'\, one of the
authors of Reactive Manifesto\, an independent software developer and con
sultant\, and founder and director of Continuous Delivery Ltd.\nDave has b
een having fun with computers for over 30 years has worked on most types o
f software\, from firmware\, through tinkering with operating systems and
device drivers\, to writing games and commercial applications of all shape
s and sizes. He started working in large scale distributed systems more th
an 25 years ago\, doing research into the development of loose-coupled\, m
 essage-based systems — a forerunner of microservice architectures.\n\nHe
was also an early adopter of agile development techniques\, employing ite
rative development\, continuous integration and significant levels of auto
mated testing on commercial projects from the early 1990s.\n\nTopic focus:
